Wax Hair Removal
Waxing is the most common form of semi-permanent epliation. A system of removing the hair on your body subcutaneously by applying wax at the proper temperature to the surface of the dermis and removing it quickly taking your hair from the root.
All waxing should be administered by a professional licensed to perform the services in your state. Any area of the body can be safely waxed. When your hair is removed in this manner it will not grow back for 4-6 weeks. Although waxing removes your hair from the root of the follicle, some people may experience re-growth within one week; this is due to the fact that all of your hair is on different growth cycles. Each of your individual hairs is on a growth cycle such as Anagen, Telogen and Catagen. Basically this means that your hair is in the follicle, growing through your skin so that it is visible to the naked eye and about to fall out. This is why it’s best to receive your waxing treatments on a regular 4-6 week basis in attempt to get all the hair on the same growth cycle. This will ensure the longest best results. |
Is this safe?
Yes, there are some precautions, medication and conditions that are not ideal to receive a waxing treatment, please call with any questions. Some helpful hints Make sure that your licensed professional wears gloves during your treatment and uses a new applicator each time they apply wax to any area of your body. Using a new wax applicator or “stick” each time they retrieve wax from the pot will prevent the transmission of any and all bacteria and viruses that can be spread if they are using the same materials on everyone, After all the last thing you want when you pay for a lip wax is for the technician to use the same stick that they did when they did someone else’s Brazilian!
